teacher teaches Genres and students learn way

English Genres

In accordance with the usage,generic structure, and language features.

There are five genres are taught by an English teacher in the classroom.

The genres taught in junior level is more simply than genres taught in Senior High School.

Here are genres taught in Junior High School level;

I. Descriptive

a. Meaning : a text that describe or explains the object specifically.

b. Goal : to describe the processes of the object features

c. Language features : commonly used Simple Present Tense, but rarely used Simple past tense

II. Narrative

a. Meaning : a text that describe or explains the story happened in in the past

b. Goal : to entertain the readers

c. Language features : commonly used Simple Past Tense

III. Report

a. Meaning : a text that describe or explains the object specifically.

b. Goal : to describe the processes of the object features

c. Language features : commonly used Simple Present Tense,

but rarely used Simple past tense

IV. Recount

a. Meaning : a text that tells us one’s experience in the past.

b. Goal : to describe the processes of one’s experience

c. Language features : Simple past tense

V. Anecdote

a. Meaning : a text that tells us animal or the other object behavior

b. Goal : to entertain the readers with funny and interesting story

c. Language features : commonly used Simple Present Tense,

but rarely used Simple past tense
